Starting January 2015 the grants for glass and plastic packaging will register an increase: glass will raise from 17,82 Euro/ton to 20,80 Euro/ton and plastic from 140 Euro/ton to 188 Euro/ton. The informations were given by the CONAI (Union for packaging recycling), COREVE (Union for glass recycling) and COREPLA (Union for plastic recycling).
The solid costs increases caused by the agreement between Anci-Conai are forecasting a 21,5% raise from 2013 and the endless development of the recycling process will influence tremendously on the COREVE UNION economic results (source: CONAI AND COREVE). CONAI Cda will increase the environment grant for glass packaging for 17,82 Euro/ton to 20,80 Euro/ton starting January 1, 2015. This increase will be effecting several of the fixed share of the grants.
The situation is similar for the plastic packaging “The increase of the environment grants to 140 euro/ton from January 2014 caused the patrimonial deterioration of the COREPLA Union. The increases after the ANCI_CONAI agreement (+10,6 % form 2013 ), the recycling process in the southern side of the country ( and its raise on the plastic packaging, +11% in 2013 ), and the deterioration of the quality mix are negatively influencing the COREPLA union that registered in 2013 a deficit which was forecasted for 2014 as well. The CONAI Cda will increase the environment grant for the plastic packaging from 140 Euro/ton to 188Euro/ton starting January 1, 2015. This increase will be effecting several of the fixed share of the grants".
